The only thing that annoyed me more than the shipping wars of Harry Potter was the shipping wars of Hunger Games. Because in a book about trauma and class and revolution and the "good guys" stooping as low as the bad, and justice and vengeance and dehumanising entertainment - who Katniss loves is totally the main point, right?

There is romantic fan fiction set in the most disgusting contexts on earth. Because when people are being tortured or starved or exploited what will be their priority? Gettin' some.

I think it reflects more on the writers of that shit than the original material. Privileged boneheads, really.
