Though bus service is limited this week, Seattle is mostly thawed from Snowpocalypse 2008. The city just isn't prepared for what would be normal winter weather in many other regions, so significant storms and accumulation send us for a loop. I agree with you about Seattle just not being prepared for snow, and am getting tired of the latest winter weather freakout (I freak out a little, but quietly ;)). Sure, I get nervous about slipping on the ice, but the fact that people freak out when this happens is starting to get to me. The media doesn't help, I don't think, coining little names like "Arctic Blast". I am almost embarrassed to be a native Seattleite.
