this is like the egg ordeal (though, admittedly on a mch larger scale). eggs are healthy for you! no, they're bad. No, healthy! No, bad.

Or how babies should sleep to be safe. Or a million other things.

people are crazy. it seems taht in our effors to be popular with the eco-crowd, we've lost our minds a little.

Have you read what's-his-name Lonborg? I've been meaning to finish his book The Skeptical Environmentalist. I think that's what it's called. He's a Danish socialist, but a pariah of The Left. Unintended consequences. What fun!
