Hot Boys in Love - the Panic GSF manifesto

Once upon a time there were three boys from Vegas:
Brendon, Ryan, and Spencer.
They were beautiful, they were talented, they were best friends who loved (and sometimes lusted after) each other very much, and all their dreams were coming true.
But there was something missing. Such sad, serious faces. Something was not quite right.
Until they met this boy from Chicago:
Hello! Jon Walker
And everything clicked into place.
Now the fun part about writing a GSF manifesto is that a lot of my work has been done for me! And quite well I might add.
Jon loves Brendon and Brendon loves Jon!
Ryan loves Brendon and Brendon loves Ryan!
Spencer loves Jon and Jon loves Spencer!
Brendon loves Spencer and Spencer loves Brendon!
The epic tale of how Ryan loves Jon and Jon loves Ryan hasn't been posted yet, but I believe it's coming soon- meanwhile if you have any doubts- watch their recent interviews!
The fact that no one has done, or signed up to do a Spencer/Ryan is very sadmaking, and so I will have to dedicate a few moments to show how Spencer loves Ryan and Ryan loves Spencer!
First of all just LOOK at them :
They are so beautiful together.
They have fun together
They are comfortable with each other. Ryan obviously adores Spencer
No one makes Ryan smile like Spence does
Spencer and Ryan have been friends forever, since they were rugrats. They've been there for each other through some pretty rough shit. Together they dreamed up what became Panic at the Disco. They know each other intimately and there is plenty of sleepover canon! Enough to hint at a lot more than platonic friendship between these two. (And before you say they are more like brothers to you and you don't swing that way ? - you better hide your Waycest folder! LOL)
My point is that ALL of Panic pairings work, and work damn well! There is canon to be found for all of them , and the reason for that is -ALL THE PAIRINGS ARE THE OTP! These boys ALL LOVE EACH OTHER!
My evidence speaks for itself :
They hold hands. Notice Brendon holding Ryan's on his right AND Spencer's on his left.
They go on group dates
And they are ALWAYS cuddling, touching, making boypiles
If you can't see it in their eyes- you aren't looking!

How about some fic recs?
This is some of the best, IMO, GSF fic out there. I tried to keep the list manageable, but if at the end you still want more, check my memories. I'm always adding to the GSF tag.
I did not include any "Ryan Ross or *insert name here* is a dirty whore so lets all do nasty, nasty things and be mean to him" fics, because, to me, that's not what GSF is all about. That said, if it's what you like, look around, there's plenty to be found :P
The Quickest Way to Ruin a Friendship by arsenicjade
Number one on my list for so many reasons.
Ryan and Spencer's relationship in this is so layered and dimensional. They love each other so much, but they're so busy trying to do right by each other that they don't see what's right in front of them.
This is not fluff fic- this is deep and angsty and real. But the love is very , very tangible.
Jon is the bridge - the catalyst that brings them all together, as he is in so many GSF's and I love that -so very much.
"Spence, have you ever- Do you think maybe we left him out?"
Spencer does look at Jon, then. "I've known him since he was five, Jon. I'd like to think that if Ryan ever showed any sign of- I just don't think that was something I was likely to miss. He, yeah, I mean, Brendon, he wants Brendon, but for whatever reason he thought I was better, thought I was, I mean, he and Brendon, they sort of attack different problems in similar fashions, and I think he wasn't sure he could stay as still as Brendon needed him to. He could have, and maybe I should have told him that, maybe I was…selfish." Spencer tries to swallow around the thought, around the idea that while he was busy lauding himself for doing what Ryan had asked, for being the Best Friend Ever, maybe he had just been taking Brendon all for himself.
"Or maybe you and Ryan have gotten so used to knowing what each other is saying, you sometimes miss it when there's a miscommunication."
We Started From by untappedbeauty
The dynamics are similar to "The Quickest Way.." but this is NOT the same story. In the beginning, on the surface it's all about sexytimes and just being dudes, but there is so much more under the surface. And once again, Jon is the catalyst that brings it all together.
"Stay with me," he tells Jon, tightening his arms. Then, quieter, "Stay with us. For good."
Jon ducks his head, doesn't say anything for the longest time. When he finally says, "Scoot over, let me in," Ryan finally exhales. He presses his back to the wall to make room, and it's a tight fit when Jon climbs in, but after Jon pulls the curtain shut, Ryan draws Jon closer still. Their foreheads are touching, and they're too close to be able to look at each other. Ryan closes his eyes.
"Will you think about it?" he whispers. He knows he shouldn't be doing this, talking so only Jon can hear when this is just as much about Brendon and Spencer -- and there's no way they're asleep yet -- but he does it anyway, has to know.
"I haven't been able to think about much else," Jon says just as quietly. Then, "How could I ever say no?"

“So Pete said you guys are, like, dating?” Patrick asked, not taking his eyes off of the TV screen. Spencer considered unplugging his controller, but settled on kicking his ass as spectacularly as he could.
“Yeah, we exchanged pins and everything,” he mumbled as he moved his fingers over the buttons.
“No, really...it’s kinda cool,” Patrick admitted. Spencer stole a sideways glance at him, just to make sure Patrick wasn’t making fun of him.
“Coolest fucking thing ever,” he said, laughing as he delivered a killing blow to Patrick’s character.
Because really, he was on tour with his three best friends who doubled as the best boyfriends ever; life was pretty fucking cool.

Awesome touch of D/s. Very nice Mike/Tom/jon backstory and a really beautiful "courtship".
"We wouldn't hurt you. We wouldn't have asked if we thought we would hurt you." Jon doesn't say anything and Ryan leans forward. "You're ours," he says fiercely, cupping the back of Jon's head with one hand. "Your ours and we want to show you. Let us take care of you."
It's not a request, but it's not an order, either. It's both and yet it's neither. It's everything Jon has ever wanted, ever needed, being offered to him and Ryan wants him to say yes. Ryan needs him to say yes, and Jon suspects that Spencer and Brendon do, too.

Come on, spread," Brendon said, slapping Ryan's thighs apart. Ryan rolled his eyes but complied, and Brendon got up on his knees, aiming his Sidekick for a long shot of Ryan's body with Spencer curled around.
"If Jon ever breaks up with us, we're fucked," Spencer said, looking up just as the camera flashed.
Brendon sent the picture, then slid the phone shut and flopped down next to Spencer. "Then I guess we should probably never break up, and just buy a really big house and live happily ever after forever and ever."
And really, that sums it up rather nicely! ;)
