Good. We met with a guidance counselor, who gave J some pointers for when school starts. We took a tour of the school so J can kind of, sort of get her bearings.
We also found out that J placed in pre-algebra, which is the highest math class for 6th graders. Once the school gets verification that she was in gifted, we'll be good to go. :-)
Cool. Is J nervous about being at a new school, or is she ok with it?
She's pretty nervous, but I do think some of that was alleviated today. The guidance counselor reminded J that all of the 6th graders are in a new school, and since three elementary schools feed into the school J is going to, the kids will just assume she came from one of the other feeder schools, not from outside of the district.
