I discovered this series back when you posted the second or third story and I've never commented because I'm a shy lurker like that, but I just need to say thank you. I've been so disillusioned with both the show and fandom this summer and this series has really made me feel so much better. For one thing, your Mercedes is exactly the girl I've seen in my head since this show started--flaws and all--and she's perfect and real and whole onto herself and it's wonderful to see. Your Sam is a perfect incarnation of the direction they finally seemed to settle on for him. I love that they deal so directly with a myriad of issues from inside and outside of their relationship. (Also, I love that they built up to the sex and it was perfect in its awkwardness.) Whether this relationship is truly forever or just a really intense first love, these two feel more like an endgame couple than any of the show's couples. It makes me even sadder that we won't get to see it play out on screen though I doubt it would have been this meaningful ( ... )
