CHAPTER 2
That morning when the alarm went off, Bam was dazed and confused for a minute. Shaking his head clear of sleep, Bam sat and leaned over his bed, head in his hands as he rubbed his blurry eyes.Staggering into the kitchen in a pair of black boxer shorts, Bam yawned widely and pressed the button to see his messages.
Message One; ...Brandon? It's Shauna. Dr. Michaels called out ill for tomorrow and said to let his nurses off for the day. If you get this message before you come in, then great. Have a great day, hun! ...Thursday, nine forty-two P.M. End of message.
Message Two: ...Bam? Bam! ...You're sleeping still? Well, I called the hospital and they said that you were off for the day, so I'm comin' over to help you unpack some more things you left over here. I'll swing by about one-ish, and I'll bring lunch. Love you. ...Friday, ten elven A.M. End of message.
Message Three: Bam, I'll be by at one to get my things. I'm really sorry that it turned out like this. I swear I didn't mean to lead you on. You really are a great guy and I wish I could give you more. But I'm still young, ya kow? And I want to party! There are plenty of oppurtunities to go out and find someone. I just hope you will. This is Jenn, by the way. ...Friday, eleven thirty-seven A.M. End of message.
Message Four: Bam Bam, I'm in town this week! Our manager decided to let us off on vacation for the next month. Let's get together for lunch or something, ya? I'll be seeing you, Bammie! ...Thursday, seven oh-three P.M. End of message.
Message Five: Hey, Bam? This is... This is Ryan. Ryan Dunn. You told me to call you, so I am. Um, AAA got my car fine. Uh, are you doing anything this weekend? 'Cause I figured I could take you up on that raincheck. If you wanna reach me, here's my cell.
Bam lunged for a piece of paper and a pen and quickly scribbled Ryan's number down.
...Well, I guess that's it. I'll try calling you later. Bye. ...Friday, twelve twenty-four P.M. End of message.
You have ZERO messages left.
Blearily, Bam looked over at the stove clock and blinked blankly. It read '12:57' in bright lime green on black.
Well, shit.
As if on cue, Bam heard the doorbell ring, the knocking on the door, AND Ape calling him. "Bam? Bam! If you're still asleep, then you just wait until I get my hands on you!"
"I'm up, Ape," Bam croaked from the hallway as he walked to the door. Unlocking it, he let his mother in.April Margera was a forty-seven-year-old hairdresser with blond hair, and big blue eyes that she passed on to both her sons. Bam looked more like her than his father Phil. "Finally! Here, take this. I'll go get the other box from the car."
"Hello to you too, Ape," Bam rolled his eyes at his mother. Setting it down in the living room adjacent to the hallway, Bam intercepted his mother at the door again. "How many boxes were there?"
"Only two," April sighed with her hands on her hips. She looked at him oddly. "Why the hell aren't you wearin' any clothes?"
"I got up.." Bam checked the clock on the table near the door, "three minutes ago. Gimme a break."
April pursed her lips and rolled her eyes. "Well, I'll start unpacking. Go get some shorts on or somethin'."
Bam rolled his eyes again, huffed, and went to his bedroom. He drew out a pair of shorts and threw them on. He clenched his jaw again when the doorbell rang. It had to be Jenn, and Bam wasn't looking forward to the showdown between his mother and Jenn. He heard April call out, "I'll get it!"
"Shit," mumbled Bam, and he sighed. He got to the hallway just in time to see Jenn push the door open and brush carelessly past April. "Afternoon, Jenn."
"I'll be in the bedroom," Jenn replied briskly. April looked at Bam with raised eyebrows, her face saying clearly 'you better start explaining'.
"Ex-girlfriend," sighed Bam. "She's just getting some of her stuff and she'll be leaving."
April snorted and returned to the boxes, and Bam followed her. Jenn could let herself out. As if on cue, she nearly stomped down the hallway carrying a little bag of stuff. Probably just a shirt or two, some make-up, and maybe a comb. "Bye Bam. Don't be a stranger, okay?"
"Yeah. Whatever." Bam just motioned her to go out the door. When Jenn opened the door, she jumped and put a hand on her chest.
"Oh god, Tony, don't scare me like that." Tony Torretti slowly came into the house, and Bam turned to look at him. His mouth was bloody and his teeth were bared. "Tony, are you okay? Tony?" Jenn tried to turn Tony around, and he savagely bit into her wrist. He tore out a sizable chunk of flesh and blood vessels, and Jenn screamed. April rushed over, pushing Tony to Bam, who in turn pushed Tony into the bathroom, locking the door by bracing a chair in front of it. "Gah... It hurts!! IT HURTS!!"
"Ape, go call 911," Bam instructed as he went into the living room and tore a pillow cover in half. "I'll try to slow the blood down."
April nodded and rushed into the kitchen. Bam, meanwhile, was applying pressure to Jenn's wrist while holding it above her head. Less blood would rush to her hand that way. Bam's nursing instincts took over and he made several makeshift bandages and tied them tight around her wrist.
"BAM! It's busy!!" April yelled from the kitchen.
"God dammit!" Bam screamed. Bam lifted Jenn under her knees and behind her back as she writhed in pain. "Ape, get my keys, my wallet, and some money. We're going to the hospital!"
-->END CHAPTER 2.
A/N: Well, a quick chapter with Zombie!Tony. Jenn's been bit! Oh noes! What could happen next? Personally, I thought that the part with Jenn was a bit awkward, her coming in and partially-leaving. What do you guys think? Leave a review and I'll be tempted to write another chapter quicker!! Oh, and FYI, none of my chapters are really beta-ed, so beware some flaws. I just wanted to get this chapter up. Hope you guys like it!!
