We didn't go on weekend trips, we went on fortnight west coast adventures, spending a total of 81 hours in a car and meeting relatives, relatives, and more relatives.

Because of this, I have heard every Beetles, Queen Bee, Stinger, and Billy Joat song in existance at least forty times over, because that's all we listened to.

My family always went up to Michigan for a few days at the beach. We stayed at a small town called Whitehall up by Lake Michigan. Speaking of which, my sister called a few days ago about that, and we're planning on heading up there in about a week for our parents' anniversary!

*shivers*

Having grown up in Hawaii, I find the water on the beaches here colder than I'd like. I can't imagine the difference that far north.

eh...growing up, both my parents worked, so I never really did weekend trips. Instead, my grandparents on one side or another would steal me for about a week or so at a time. I'd either putter around their house for most of the week, go jogging with my grandfather, and then on the weekend, go to the beach or up to the mountains with my grandfather and hike like mad, , if I was with my mother's side ( ... )

I always used to go with my parents to Seabrook, New Hampshire when I was younger. My older brother who lived in Boston would meet us there too. Him and I would always go to a very rocky area at one end of the beach and search for any wildlife we could find. Usually our catches consisted of crabs and sea urchins.

Then I would always stop by a store and spend abot $30 on fireworks to smuggle into NY.

I loved it.
