Writing down everything I ate was a good idea. This way I can more clearly see what I can improve in my diet. For example, why there is onion in three of my dishes when I also have leek handy? ;) I am thinking of giving dr Dabrowska's cleansing diet a try (or rather another try, about two years ago I lasted 3 days! :P), it's about eating just

OMG I LOVE that bowl you have your soup in. (I used to throw pottery and therefor have a dishes fetish :o)
I envy you having leeks. They are horribly expensive here!!!
this post made me hungry. that omelette looks yum! I need to get off the computer NOW and go to town damn it, I've been putting it off all day.
Licorice IS good for your complexion, but watch your blood pressure, it can raise your blood pressure very dramatically. If I have very much licorice I will suddenly have a nosebleed! (my aunt was an herbalist and a midwife and taught me a lot about such things.)
onion is low calorie, high in sulfer (which helps prevent colds!) and also helps with your skin, it's very good for you unless perhaps you are one of those unfortunate people that if you sweat heavily and you've eaten a lot of onion you will smell itke onion. (there are worse things you could smell like!)

Leeks expensive?? Wow, they are one of the cheapest vegetables here in Poland.
I have very low blood pressure so I don't worry about licorice raising it much, but I have read all the warnings. Soon I plan on taking a break from drinking it :) I will switch to some other testosterone lowering herbs, probably Humulus lupulus (Common hop). Just for a while, because I LOVE licorice root tea :D
Oh yes, onion certainly is a great thing! But as are leeks, and as far as I know, garlic is even better :) Variety is good. I eat raw garlic almost everyday, even more than onion. Sometimes I smell a bit but it's not bad.
I know what you mean about getting hungry because of reading about food! I hope you get yourself something yummy :]
