I don't think it's douchey, but because using an actual pic of yourself is NOT the usual, I wouldn't have known it was you if you hadn't said - I just assumed it was "some random famous person" that I didn't recognise! (That happens a lot!) Which I guess kinda defeats the point you were going for in using it.

I have occasionally thought that people have douchey pictures of themselves as icons, but it's less "it is douchey to have an icon of yourself!" and more "wow, whatever you are doing in that icon looks super-douchey." Which can happen with any icon, regardless of who is in it--if you have an icon that says "I hate gay people," I will also think you're douchey. Which is my long-winded way of saying I think you are good! I enjoy your real person picture, and do not think it says anything bad about you as a person.
