Cool! I love that show; over here, it's shown on Public Broadcast Service's Mystery! Sam is definitely my favorite.

I love Foyle's war - and Sam is without a doubt my favorite character. (with Foyle himself coming a good number two). I also find it interesting that this show chooses to depict the 1940's with full, radiant colours - whereas films like "Saving Private Ryan" goes for the coloursaturation. (but that might be the geek in me.;) )

Yes! watch! It is such a great series - the actors are wonderful, the cinematography is superb and the writing is really great.

My brother has loaned me the DVDs but I haven't watched them yet. I mentioned the observation about the actors' inability to wear the clothes correctly (expecially the hats) and my brother said that he thought the hats looked very odd, except for Foyle's. He was a child in that era and couldn't remember the hats looking quite so--daft. :D

Hee! Some of the hats do look very daft - and especially Milner. His hat looks more like it has been glued on than worn properly. ;) But hats aside, I do love the series, so if you get a chance to watch them I would wholeheartedly recommend them.
