Dutch people love peanuts, it's everywhere: peanut butter (translated literally from Dutch it's actually peanut cheese), peanut sauce, peanut cookies.
So I decided to try to make the peanut cookies myself as they are one of my boyfriend's favorites. (I'm actually German, but I live in the Netherlands. When I bake, I'll use my German recipes.)

Americans loooooooove peanuts too, so I will have to try these on some of my fellow citizens! Hooray for peanuts!

I learned the "peanut cheese" thing when I was 16 (aka the Stone Age) and went to the Netherlands with my dad to visit family. It struck me as so weird, the Dutch word has stuck in my brain all these years. (My father pointed out that there's no butter in peanut butter, so it's not like it's any weirder to say "cheese").
