Thanks so much for reposting! I hope we'll see many more recipes from you: we don't get many healthy options posted here so they are most appreciated.

I'm glad you enjoyed Perth! I'm from Melbourne and I'm yet to visit there, but hope to soon. Interesting to note that most of our members and readers are American -- according to our stats nearly 60% of the hits are from the US. Then it's UK, Canada then Australia. :)

I do appreciate and understand the importance of structure; but to be honest, I was a bit soured by the experience of being rejected on my first post. Perhaps you can make concessions for future first-time posters and ask them to clean up their post once it's been "approved". It takes a self-confidence push in the first place to make a first-time post and my concern is that other people would be turned off for good and that would be a shame to lose enthusiastic contributors, especially considering how LJ is waning in popularity. :)

Thanks for approving me this time and I do look forward t making further positive contributions.

I know exactly what you feel like: my first post here was rejected when I joined the comm a few years ago. I'd neglected to read the rules first and my picture was over the size limit. I know it can be disheartening to have a post rejected and I know some people don't repost afterwards, both new and old members. But we can't have rules and then let certain posters be an exception to them. I hate having to reject first-time-posters more than anything. But if you let it through the comm gets messy and it becomes unfair to other members.

Well, in other communities, I've seen the rule where first posters are accepted but given a week-window to amend their post. Failure to do so will result in a deletion. Ultimately, it's up to your discretion, but perhaps you will consider that as an option. That way, everybody wins and nobody 'gets away' with anything.
