Cake Pops Filling

Hey everybody! For Christmas this year, I recieved the babycakes cake pop maker. At first I was very excited, but I am wondering if the flavor will be the same since you do not roll the cake mix with frosting. Does anyone have this machine ( Read more... )

The flavor is definitely not the same.. I wasn't a fan of the ones someone had made with the machine. The plain cake dipped in chocolate seemed pretty dry to me. Some people loved it though. One woman thought it tasted like those Hostess doughtnuts, you know the little ones covered in chocolate? So maybe you'll enjoy them, it's personal preference.

Filling with frosting may help, but keep in mind that they're so small you won't be able to get a lot of frosting in them, and what you do get in won't be mixed with the cake, so it will taste more like a filled cupcake. Could still be worth a shot at any rate!

Hmmm that sounds like a good idea. I'll probably make one batch the original way and then another with the machine but with a light coating of frosting and then the chocolate. Thanks!
