[Ohhey, this is the first time they met in person. She'll jog a little faster to where he is, looking absolutely happy. Hope he doesn't have a big crowd around him.]

[not at the moment, no. in fact, he doesn't seem to have an audience at all right now. he approaches with a slight jog himself, and once he's close enough, snaps his fingers to produce a yellow flower for her with a bow]

[There is someone in the crowd watching you perform, Kaito. She... looks like she's linefacing hard. This is because that is her default expression for just about everything -- but there's a hint of curiosity there, too.

She'll just be watching intently, even after the tricks are over and the crowd has more or less dispersed.]

[the crowd has pretty much broken apart by now, leaving Kaito alone to pocket the change they had handed him. it's then that he notices the linefacing girl watching him from afar.

he glances around to see if anyone else is around, before approaching while shuffling a deck of cards in both hands]

[She watches his approach passively, eyes trained o his shuffling cards. However, she acknowledges his words with a barely perceptible nod.

There is a long pause as she considers this. Then, she looks down to her own hands, and back at the cards being tossed about between Kaito's hands.]

I was.

[A pause. She gestures towards the cards.] Will you repeat that gesture?

[he blinks at her, taking note of how she glanced at her own hands and then his, and continues to shuffle]
