I took my friend Ceece along; she kept me calm and distracted and from panicking, and it turned out that G-Mommie would be the one to lose her license if anyone did. That is, if she hadn't not renewed it because her Cardiologist told her not to drive.
The DMV says that your license would be suspended IF the form is not filed. Therefore, by virtue of the way that statement is phrased, you should be off the hook once the SR-1 is taken care of.
In the future, keep in mind that the reporting deadline is ten days for any accident involving an injury or one involving property damage over $750. But we'll hope that you're not going to be in need of one of these ever again!
*nods* I went, and they gave me something to fill out (which I'm going to do when I can contact the insurance company tomorrow, then drop in the drop-box at the DMV on my way to work.
I have the documentation that it was sent to her, not me; the woman from the DMV said that if anyone would lose their license, it would be Grandmommie.
(And from your mouth to Whoever's ear on that last bit!)
