Saw the hobbit in 3D. Didn't notice how long it was. Nicely paced and followed the books enough to make me happy. I'd advise not seeing it in 3D. Just made some scenes blurry and gave me a headache. -

Just spent almost 2 hours stomping around the ol' campus UT of Dallas. Lots of new buildings and renovations. There are parts I never visited in my last year there, like the radio station and Mercury offices. I ran into Jack Sheely working on a piece for a gallery show. I've just started as an Intern for DADA (Dallas Art Dealer's Association) and am working on the 25th annual celebration beginning in September. Thanks to the $1 a month extra paid to insurance over the past 3 years my *completely free* replacement phone has arrived. Also thanks to that insurance policy that only purchases of the phone during the first Christmas it was out have, I still have a slender Juke phone. Otherwise it is just damn inconvenient. My cell phone has developed dementia and can no longer find the network. As such I can not receive nor send phone calls or texts.
