Recently, I don't feel writing posts anymore. It has become a chore! So this week, I'll try only text form.
- Chapter book: A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L'Engle and read by the author - very interesting. This is the second volume of a quintet. I have the first book but haven't readfinished it yet - in fact, I got stuck around chapter 2 or 3! I'll

It's been a while since I read the Wrinkle in Time books, but I think I remember that first one starting slow. Once it got going though, I enjoyed it a lot!
I tried side by side readings of Alice too, but it takes a lot longer to read that way (and most of the differences really aren't that big anyway, since it's based off the TP script to begin with).
I was interested in Chotto Edo Made (Kare Kano was one of my early favourite series, and Eensy Weensy Monster is absolutely adorable), but I think Tsuda-sensei's art has gotten rather... blah in recent years. And I also can't imagine it ever being licensed here, so...
Laissée pour Compte sounds pretty dramatic! And it's about a baker, right? What a combination... :D

It's good to know that Wrinkle in Time starts slow. I have no patience for the setting anymore! Very reluctant to start a new book/ series.
There are some small difference. I wonder why they made subtle change despite using the same script? Interesting. After reading double_dear's post about it, I tried but it isn't obvious to me that Peter speaks in rhymes at all. I look forward to reading Vertical's Paradise Kiss, though. They mention complete new translation and 1 or 2 color pages.
So, you think the flowery art is more likely getting licensed?
Laissée pour Compte is fun. Yes, it's about the baker who has a twin brother who is a count. There are cross-dressing for both him and her :) in European old style, so it's great.

Re: Tsuda-sensei's art-I meant that because her art's gotten blah (in my opinion), I'm not as interested anymore. I don't think that specifically would make a difference to it getting licensed or not though. (after all, Akatsuki no Yona has gorgeous art, and nobody picked it up yet! And then there's Yamaguchi Miyuki's beautiful, wonderful art...)
