Okay, little pet peeve that we need to clear up. "Kamisama Hajimemashita" does not mean "Pleased to meet you, God." That would be "Kamisama Hajimemashite." We haven't read the series, so we couldn't say for sure, but it sounds like the title really means something like, "I've started being a god."

Thanks for the link to Kodansha's website! Maybe one of these days we'll stop having to Google it every time we want to see what Kodansha is up to.

Thanks for the correct title. Those are 2 completely different meanings!
I'm glad it was of use to you :) I do like the current Kodansha website. It has the information I need to know clearly.

Ohhh!! You're so smart! (of course you are :D) That title translation actually does make sense. Thanks for spreading the knowledge! (also you should totally read the series! It's adorable!)

I don't know anything more than you about the TP situation, but I don't think it was entirely a matter of the CEO getting bored and moving on-in that case, yeah, he could've sold it off or just continued ignoring it and working on his media projects or whatever. But from the sound of things, the Borders issues were a really big deal, and Tokyopop was probably still picking itself up from the problems of 2008-9 or whenever, so it was especially bad for them by this point. I dunno; I really don't want to think that this would happen just because one guy was bored ( ... )

There are always 2 sides of any story. I feel that my previous comment was unfair so I screened it since I can't edit. I hope I didn't sound hot-headed or argumentative.
TP does have good catalog, I just read The Queen's Knight which is very good. I think you may like it. The hair dress and fashion are very medieval. The girl is strong and stands up for herself. I do think that manhwa heroines are usually stronger than their manga counterparts, but I digress.
It's good that V.B Rose are still in prints. Getting IHY Japanese Takobon was so difficult. I've ordered 13 and 14 of V.B Rose from Kinokuniya and the rest of Skyblue Sea. I'm thinking of doing the same for Happy Cafe. Maid Sama and Guakuen Alice are licensed in French and they are behind, so I can wait for those. I'm glad that TP published lots of good manga and finished some of them and I had a chance to read them.
Thanks. I fixed the Suppli French link.

Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you feel bad or anything (anyway, plenty of folks have written plenty harsher words about the situation). I thought what you wrote was reasonable ( ... )

You didn't. I just reread my reply and it seemed uncharitable to me and I don't know the whole story so ...
On a better news, I got Kanoko #3 yesterday, the rest of Skyblue, and V.B rose of course. French GakuAli is up to volume #21 - but their Maid Sama is only 6.
Dragon Girl #2 came today :) Yay. Thanks a bunch. I'm reading it now.
You can tell me whom you're rooting for. Curious mind wants to know.

Whaaaat, are you nuts?? Read v3-4!! Just kidding :D But I find this series so addicting. Even the measly two-month gap between Viz releases seems too long to me ^^;; I'm being spoiled!

Heh, I don't know. Maybe I have slice-of-life fatigue or something. I want romance - blushing and starry eyes :P There seems to be no romance prospect between Nanami and Tomoe since they are from different worlds (well, it didn't stop any other series before.) I kind of feel the same about Otomen and Degenki Daisy.
I can't have enough of Skip Beat! and Saiunkoku, though.

Awww, Kamisama Kiss is totally set up as a romance! I guess it becomes more obvious in later volumes (v4's main plot thread is about Nanami being in love with Tomoe), but I think Tomoe and Nanami have a great relationship :D She was blush-y at the end of v2, right? And Dengeki Daisy too, ahhhh~! *gush* I find it incredibly romantic. Teru and Kurosaki are so fun together. It's interesting that our responses are so different! I guess everyone experiences things differently. I'm with you in finding Otomen lacking in romance, though. I just read it for the laughs now...
