HONK!

There is something particularly nice about having twenty-nine or so activist marching bands (or so) converge on your neighborhood, playing up a storm. I miss my old marching band days. I am jealous that you had so many in your neighborhood!

Also, I am impressed by any amount of juggling skill, as I failed to learn to even juggle floaty scarves the one time someone tried to teach me.

Well, I'm about where you are with toss juggling -- twelve catches of three bean bags is my all-time max. Contact juggling, on the other hand, I'm good enough that people can be justifiably impressed :)

Or, well, people at least pointed their kids at me as something interesting to watch during the parade.

Oh, I see - I assumed "contact juggling" was a type of toss juggling, since I'd never seen types of juggling discussed before. I always thought of contact juggling as "that glass ball thing from Labyrinth," so now I'm glad I know what it's called.

I hear you're probably going to visit in the relatively near future... can I get you to show off for me? I've never seen anyone do it in person.

Totally. I'll remember to bring a sphere. I usually travel with one anyway, even though the TSA has been known to look askance.
