Fic Of The Week - Week One Hundred And Fifty

Nov 10, 2014 18:25

Hello, and apologies for the lateness, I'm having the day from hell. Not only did I have to call the doctor out for my mum, who has a cough, but my internet provider decided to block my access to LJ, Dreamwidth and several other sites and their home security centre that was doing it would not switch off no matter what I did. Took over and hour and ( Read more... )

It's evening now and it hasn't got any better, but at least I'm not being kept from accessing my journals now. I still don't know why it spontaneously started up and refused to allow me to access anything when I didn't know the damn programme existed and it wasn't even turned on! It's supposed to be a parental control thing to keep kids safe, but there aren't any kids here and I want unrestricted access to whatever I choose. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to regain access to the sites I subscribe to. =(

Today sucks in so many ways.

Thank you.

I hope both you and your mum are feeling better and that today is going better than yesterday!

Mum's spent the day in bed so I've been running around after her as well as doing everything else - got up at 7.30 this morning, sat down for breakfast at 11. That's the way today has gone and I still have a splitting headache ( ... )

Listening to moaning is what friends are for! Besides, you've listened to me moan enough!
I may be about a year behind with my commenting, but I am still here lurking ready to offer support when needed. Hope tomorrow improves - sounds like it can't get much worse. What happened with the doctor (and the postman) is so frustrating. I hate that they try to get you to make an appointment a week in advance - you don't know when you are going to be ill, it isn't planned, and if you wait until you are ill to phone the doctor by the time they can see you, you are better anyway (which is probably what they are banking on). Hope they figure out where their mix up was and manage to bring your mum's appointment forward.
*Hugs some more*
