I really loved Angel as a character, he was conflicted in so many ways, a good man haunted literally by his demon. He might have waster his life when he was alive, but once he got his soul back he tried to make up for it.

Poor Buffy and Angel, their doomed romance was so beautiful but so sad.

I first saw them together in the Angel episode, "I Will Remember You". Before that, I knew that BtVS existed and then wound up watching Angel instead - and that episode is the one that really cemented my love for both of those characters and how much they loved each other.

That episode always breaks my heart into tiny pieces. So does part 2 of Becoming, Buffy knowing Angel has his soul back but having to kill him anyway.
