A/N: Double drabble and a half, 250 words.
It wasn’t fair! How stupid were these vampires, demons, whatever anyway? How could they mistake her, Cordelia Chase, for a Slayer? All they had to do was look at her, because no Slayer could afford a bespoke, one-off designer gown like the one she was wearing. Buffy might think she looked cute in her little red dress, which was so obviously mass-produced and off-the-rack, but she was totally outclassed. She’d never be Homecoming Queen; she didn’t have what it took.
Only now, thanks to Buffy deciding to complete against her, Cordelia might not get to wear the crown either, because she was going to be DEAD! Oh God, she was stuck out here in a cabin in the woods, being hunted by monsters, and with only a spatula to defend herself! At least Buffy had a gun.
Cordelia didn’t want to die, she was too young, she’d hardly had a chance to live yet! It was alright for Buffy, she was doomed anyway because from what Cordelia had seen so far, Slayers didn’t live long, but Cordelia had a future! College, a rich husband, a big house, a whole fleet of fancy cars, and a walk-in wardrobe full of designer clothes and shoes… She could see it all flashing before her eyes, slipping away from her!
So when the spiny yellow demon burst in, there was only one thing Cordelia could do; fight for her life and her future, whatever it took! No one handled a spatula like Cordelia Chase!
