“We’re supposed to be on vacation,” Jack grumbled, not bothering to hide his pout. “Not playing tourist guide to visitors.”
“It’s called being polite, Jack. You should try it occasionally. I’ve been here before, I know my way around, and those poor people were lost. It’s not like it cost me anything to help them. All they needed was directions. Or are you sulking because they took my attention away from you for a few minutes?”
Jack snorted. “Of course not, why would I be jealous?”
“Who said anything about jealousy?” Ianto sounded far too amused for Jack’s liking.
“Whatever. We’re here so you can relax, you’ve been working too hard lately.”
“I always work hard, that’s who I am, something you should know by now. And I’m not going to ignore people who need help just because I’m technically on holiday.”
“I never said you should ignore people who genuinely need help, but that’s the third bunch of tourists you’ve helped today! You’re spending so much time talking with strangers we’re not getting to do anything fun ourselves.”
“Well, next time we go on vacation, try taking me somewhere I’ve never been instead of booking a week in London.”
