Summary: For once, the Doctor succeeds in saving everybody.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
The Doctor fixes things, that’s become his main purpose in life, both the reason for and the result of his endless travelling throughout space and time. He repairs timelines, rights wrongs, steers the universe in the proper direction, but as hard as he tries, he can’t fix everything. Despite his efforts, cities, civilisations, even entire planets still get destroyed. Innocent people still die.
But not here, and not today!
It was a gamble, nanites aren’t the most intelligent of robotic entities. They’re designed to follow their programming; they just needed someone to input the correct data.
For once, everybody lives!
