A/N: Double drabble.
Flying was supposed to be easy, wasn’t it? At least, it was for creatures with wings designed for flight. Okay, so they had to strengthen their muscles with plenty of flapping before they took to the air, and a fledgeling’s first flight might not be particularly graceful, but they learned fast.
He tried to sigh, but it came out wrong, making him wince. Now what was he supposed to do? Heights had never bothered him much before, but right now it looked an awfully long way down.
Of course, he could just stay put until someone noticed he was missing and came to investigate, but that might not be for hours. Did anyone even know he was up here?
He scowled at Myfanwy, soaring easily overhead, gliding, he assumed, on the air currents he could almost sense tugging at him.
Well, nothing ventured… Anyway, this body was designed for flight, right? All he had to do was jump and flap, then glide to the ground. Using his beak to pick up the device Myf must have brought home, Ianto spread long, leathery wings, and jumped, only for the ground to rush towards him.
Flying wasn’t as easy as it looked.
