“Oooh, sandwiches!” The Doctor peered at the contents of the tray. “What’s in them? Have you got any egg and cress? Or banana? I love a nice banana sandwich.”
The liveried servant smiled patiently at the strange guest, wondering if he should call security and have him thrown out of the garden party. Surely he couldn’t have been invited!
“Sorry, sir, no banana sandwiches, or egg. There’s cucumber, or smoked salmon.”
“Oh, no thanks then, I’ll have something later. Better go and pay my respects to Her Royal Highness. I haven’t been to the palace since her coronation in 1953!”
