A/N: Double drabble.
Ryo was in the middle of a really good dream, he was in a boat floating down a wide, slow-moving river on a beautiful sunny day, without a care in the world, when he felt someone shaking him. He didn’t want to wake up, hated the thought of leaving the peace and tranquillity behind, but a tiny corner of his brain reminded him that he was a dad and needed to be there for Bikky, no matter what. His foster son was his first priority, even over his own comfort.
Reluctantly surfacing, but not yet opening his eyes, he mumbled, “What is it, Biks?”
A snort of amusement greeted his question, a snort that most definitely didn’t sound like his son.
“Hate to break it to ya, babe, but the kid’s in L.A., has been for most of the past five months, and if ya don’t wake up and get movin’, we’re gonna be late for work.”
Blinking his eyes open, Ryo stared up at his lover, the man he’d been living with since Bikky left for college. How had he managed to forget that?
“Sorry, I was dreaming.”
“Must’ve been a good one. Ya slept right through the alarm.”
