Summary: The Hub is badly damaged and the team all but broken.

A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto looked around at the mess that had been made of the Hub. Not that it had been pristine before, all dirty concrete, and corroding metal catwalks, but now…
Had any of them ever given any serious thought to why Jack had always drummed it into them NOT to mess with the Rift? Had it even occurred to them what might happen if they did? Okay, so no one could have predicted the release of an immense demon from its prison, but surely they should have known that anything at ground zero, as it were, would suffer damage of some description.
They were lucky the Hub had been built in such a way that even after the Riftquake, or whatever, it still seemed to be structurally sound, but the boardroom windows had been shattered, furniture broken, computer stations collapsed… Dust and debris covered everything.
The damage to the Hub was bad enough, but the damage to the team was incalculable. If they hadn’t managed to get out in time, they all might have been injured or killed. As it was, the only casualty was Jack, but what use was the team without its leader?
Could broken trust ever be repaired?
