River paused outside the TARDIS as the Doctor swept past her.
“Well come on! I didn’t think I needed to invite you in.”
“Aren’t you even going to carry me over the threshold, Sweetie?” River raised a graceful eyebrow at her new husband.
“That’s an earth custom,” the Doctor replied. “I’m Gallifreyan.”
“Well I’m not. Is it too much to expect a bit of romance from you? It’s not going to be much of a honeymoon at this rate.”
The Doctor sighed. “Fine, I’ll carry you!” He threw her over his shoulder.
“This isn’t quite what I had in mind.”
