Rage had slowly been building in Buffy since the moment Angelus had made his reappearance. It was her fault that Angel had turned evil again, and she had to be the one to stop him, but it wasn’t that simple; he still wore the face of the man she’d loved with all her heart. Besides, right now there was a more immediate threat needing to be dealt with.
Angelus was evil, cruel, sadistic, but from everything Giles had managed to dredge up from his books, the Judge was unstoppable. Nothing forged by man could kill him, but how about something that hadn’t been forged? Weapons had advanced a long way since the last time the Judge had posed a threat to humanity. Time to see what he thought of modern technology.
The rocket launcher was an impressive piece of tactical gear, but relatively simple to use; just point it in the right direction, flick the switch, and…
There was something oddly satisfying about watching the so-called unkillable demon explode into hundreds of small, blue fragments. Anyone trying to put him together again after that would be facing an almost impossible puzzle.
One threat effectively neutralised. Now to deal with Angelus.
