“Oi! Teaboy!”
Ianto paused on his way to the stairs leading to the archives, arms laden with a stack of file folders. “What is it, Owen? I’m busy. Some of us actually have work to do.”
“Thought I told you to come back and see me if your knee was still bothering you.”
“It’s not. You said yourself it was only a minor sprain. It’s fine now.”
“You expect me to believe that?” Owen glared at his colleague.
“Yes, because it’s the truth.”
“Then how come you’re limping?”
“I’m not.” Ianto turned away again.
“Pull the other one, Jones. I’m a trained medical doctor; I can tell when someone’s limping, even if they’re trying to hide it. So if it’s not your knee, what is it? And don’t tell me it’s nothing.”
“Are you sure you want to know, Owen?” Ianto raised an enquiring eyebrow. “Because I could explain it to you, in graphic detail, but you’d probably want to Retcon yourself afterwards.”
“Oh, I don’t know.” Jack ambled down from his office. “He might find it educational.”
Owen backed off, raising his hands in surrender. “Forget I said anything!”
Ianto shrugged. “If you don’t want to know, don’t ask.”
