“Censorship, that’s what this is!” The Doctor snorted disparagingly. “Keeping information from people, telling them only what the government thinks they should know, hiding the truth because it’s awkward, or embarrassing, or doesn’t suit the government’s agenda! Next thing you know they’ll be burning books or making reading a crime!”
“Aren’t you overreacting a bit?” Clara asked. “So they don’t want their people knowing we’re aliens, what’s so terrible about that? They’ve never had visitors from other worlds before, and we don’t want to cause a panic.”
“Half the Royal court are aliens; they just don’t want anyone else knowing!”
