Lunchtime was approaching, if Torchwood could even be said to have a regular lunchtime, so Ianto picked up his phone to call Jubilee Pizza. There was nothing weird about having the local pizza place on speed dial, was there? No, ‘course not. Loads of people probably did.
“Morning, Jeff,” he greeted the man who answered.
“Morning, Ianto. Your usual order, is it?”
“That’ll be fine, thanks.”
“Right, that’s three large Meat Feast pizzas. Will you be wantin’ coleslaw today?”
“Ah, no, think I’ll give that a miss this time, thanks.”
“Righty-oh then. Cash or charge?”
Ianto paid with the Torchwood credit card.
“Be with you in about twenty minutes, alright?”
“That’s great, thanks Jeff.”
“No, thank you! One of our best customers, you are.”
As he hung up, Ianto was frowning. His usual order? Were they that predictable? He sighed, knowing the answer to that; it had been pizza for lunch every day for at least the last two weeks. When had they got into such a rut with their eating habits? Okay, pizza was convenient, but it wasn’t exactly a varied diet.
Tomorrow he’d order something else for lunch, curry maybe, or Chinese. Pizza wasn’t the only fast-food option.
