A/N: Double drabble.
“Ow!” Dee yelped, surprised, looking at his finger, which he stuck in his mouth as he glared at the scattered paperwork on his desk.
“Papercut or staple?” Ryo asked with a grin.
Pulling his finger out of his mouth, Dee checked the wound; it was still bleeding a bit. “Not sure, something sharp though.” Carefully he began sifting through the papers using the blunt end of a pencil, until he uncovered a sliver of something stained with red. “What the hell?”
“What is it?” Ryo stood up and leaned across to see.
“Glass!”
“Where’d that come from?” Instinctively, Ryo looked upwards, but the tube lights appeared to be intact, and anyway, they were frosted glass, not the clear fragments that, now he was looking, Ryo could see several more of on their desks and the floor. “Don’t touch anything else, Dee. It’s everywhere.”
“Yeah, I can see it now.” Dee frowned.
“What’re you two standing around for?” the Chief bellowed, coming out of his office.
“There’s broken glass all over our desks,” Dee complained.
The chief looked like his head was about to explode.
“Some idiot dropped an empty water cooler bottle. They were supposed to clean up the mess!”
