The Headwomen and the Elders of every single tribe on the peninsula were gathered tonight to hear the words of the stranger, who’d come in his curious blue box to offer them aid in the current crisis. Mignolette had never seen so many people gathered in one place before. They fairly filled the marketplace in front of the meeting hall; there simply wasn’t room for them all inside.
Mignolette went from one to another, pouring water for this one and that, listening intently as the man called the Doctor spoke, and praying to the Goddess that he could save them.
