Buffy wanted to please her mom, and Giles too; she knew she had a lot to make up for after running away from home the way she had, leaving them, and her friends, worrying about her for months. But this was too much!
She probably should’ve expected the adults in her life to be a bit… strict; she’d screwed up, badly, and it was only natural that they might worry about her running off again, especially after the way she’d been getting ready to do just that right before zombies gate-crashed her welcome home party, but that was then. She was over it now.
Giles and her mom, however, obviously weren’t.
They wanted to know exactly where she was every minute of the day and night, and with that in mind, they’d set up a schedule for her that left her with no time for herself. She’d thought she’d had no life before, but now…
They were being totally unreasonable! Between school, homework, training, patrolling, and mom time, every second of every day was accounted for, and she felt like she was being suffocated. Was an hour here and there for hanging out with her friends too much to ask?
