BtVS Double Drabble: For Safety

Summary: There’s no way Buffy can let Angel put himself in danger by leaving the house.

A/N: Double drabble.
Buffy has absolutely no ulterior motives whatsoever for urging Angel to stay the night in her room. He’s injured, and those three warrior vampires could still be out there, lurking in the shadows, just waiting for him to leave the safety of the Summers’ house. Three against one wouldn’t be a fair fight; even when it had been three against two the odds had been heavily in favour of the vamps. By himself Angel wouldn’t stand a chance and he doesn’t deserve to die, especially not after he risked his life earlier in order to save hers.
Really, it’s just for her own peace of mind; the last thing she needs if there’s a new something bad coming is to have the death of one of the good guys on her conscience. That means he’ll have to stay, and since explaining the situation to her mom is out of the question there’s no way he can sleep on the sofa. So… her bedroom it is.
Angel is the perfect gentleman, and Buffy quashes a tiny twinge of disappointment, handing her handsome hero a pillow and a blanket when he insists on sleeping on the floor. His presence is curiously comforting.
