“It feels weird,” Jack said, shifting uncomfortably.
“It looks weird,” Ianto admitted, staring at his lover. “Not in a bad way though, just, well, weird.”
“Mm. It’s not unpleasant exactly, just…” Jack trailed off, frowning.
“Weird?”
“Exactly!”
“I’m sure Tosh will figure it out.” Ianto glanced towards Tosh’s workstation where the tech expert was busy studying the odd piece of alien tech responsible for Jack’s current state of weirdness.
“I expect so.” Jack sighed. “What do I do until she does though?”
“Um…” Ianto folded his arms, studying his lover thoughtfully, head cocked to one side. “That’s a good question. Wish I had a good answer.”
Jack swished his luxuriant tail and stamped a hind foot in mild annoyance.
“You’re no help.”
“Sorry. You have nice markings.”
“I do?” Jack craned his neck to look back along his body.
“I would’ve thought you’d be brown, like your hair, but I like the spots. Appaloosa. Your tail’s nice too. What’s it like having four legs?”
“Weird. Didn’t I say that already?”
“Right, yes, sorry.”
“Not your fault.”
“No, it’s not. I suppose…”
“What?”
“I could groom you if you want.”
Jack nodded. “I’d like that.” Being a centaur wasn’t all bad.
