Summary: The latest Rift Gift is giving Ianto some problems.

A/N: Double drabble.
It should have been a simple task, one he’d carried out countless times since coming to work for Torchwood Three; take the latest Rift Gift to the archives, photograph it for the records, catalogue it, both a paper copy and an entry on the computer database, then assign it a spot on a shelf, where it would stay unless someone wanted to study it.
Ianto was starting to think he was going mad.
Carting the greyish blob downstairs, he’d taken it out of the containment box, and set in on the table for photographing, then turned away to get the camera, but when he’d turned back, the blob had gone. Searching, he’d found it on the floor behind the table, and he had to assume it was the same blob because the shape appeared identical, but it was blue.
Putting it back on the table, he snapped photographs, turned to put the camera down, looked back at the blob… Only now it was a green cube.
He’d picked the camera back up to take more photographs, only to find the cube was now a yellow octagon.
He scooped it back into the containment box. Someone else could figure it out.
