In search of pizza
I got home from work today and decided I really didn't want to make dinner, that I'd rather get a pizza. I was thinking this because not only would it provide dinner for me tonight, but I'd probably be able to get lunch for the rest of the weekend as well ( Read more... ) -

1. How much time do you spend on the Internet daily?
Depending on what I have going at work and how much I need it for work, I'd say between 3-5 hours a day. It's pretty evenly split between personal and work related use. Probably a bit more work-related though.

My shift as the Web Warrior is done. Instead of heading out the door at 3 like I was supposed to, I was chained to my desk until about 3:45, finishing up a story on a fire department training exercise. I would have been done on time, but I spent over an hour with the HR lady, trying to figure out the insurance debacle. It still isn't figured out. ( Read more... ) -

It's 7:46 a.m. and I've been at work for nearly 2 hours already. Our Web Warrior, who works the 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift, is on vacation this week. Since I wasn't living in the City by the Water, the last time the Warrior was out of the office, I thought I better volunteer to cover one of his shifts this time. What was I thinking?
Tell me again why I volunteer to pinch hit for our Web Warrior, who normally works the 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift? Did I not realize that I will have to be up at 5 a.m. in order to make it into work by 6 a.m.? That's brutal. But it might be worth it to be able to leave work when I still have almost 2 hours of daylight remaining.
We'll see.
