Watch Homeland. I gave it another go and it really deserves all the Emmys it got last year. Carrie is absolutely flawed and fabulous ( Read more... )

Episode four, see, I can't even be bothered to get the number right!
There are only three Star Wars movies in my world, period.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one underwhelmed by The Avengers. *high five*

I just watched all the way through Pushing Daisies for the first time and could not love it more. There's another potential Kickstarter I would give all the money I don't have for, definitely.

But your aforementioned VM campaign has encouraged me to do a VM-rewatch. I'd forgotten just how good S1 especially is. I mean, seriously.

Pushing Daisies was sweet and quirky but I don't care for it enough to want to kick start it. I would kick start Firefly as I said, or Carnivale.

Got to rewatch VM too.

When the fuck is The Fall with GA airing?

I KNOW! WTF, BBC network? Did you guys put the show somewhere for safekeeping and then forget where you put it?

Fans are chipping in for a kickstarter campaign to remake Veronica Mars? How cool is this?

I kind of can't believe it. A VM movie wasn't something I even entertained the notion of, but now that it's happening (and in such a cool way) I'm so psyched to see what they manage to do with it.

I want to start watching the Vampire Diaries because I hear the storyline gets good. I watched two eps and it's as bad as watching Twilight. Can I skip and move to the good stuff? Where is the good stuff?

Well, I think I started to enjoy it around 1.06, up until the end of S1, and maybe a bit of S2. Everything after that was mostly just tedious. But IMO the show never really pulled above maybe a C+ level, at its best.

IKR? Haven says sometimes in April. *shrugs*

Yeah, me too, wasn't that interested by a VM movie, especially since the final season was meh, but I'm kind of glad it's happening.

Thanks for that. C+ level, uh? Maybe I'm not missing on that much then. I mean I yawned my way through the first three episodes of Homeland and I had given up on it once already but I'm glad I stuck with it because it was so worth it. TVD got some high scores on Metacritic so I thought maybe i was missing on some hidden gem.

I agree about Once Upon A Time and American Horror Story. We never watched the first seaaon of American Horror Story, though; is it as good as Asylum?

I need to rewatch Star Wars!

It's not as bonkers as Asylum but it has its own brand of sick and creepy and a few genuine "OH SHHHIIIT!!!!" moments. I think Asylum is better in terms of plot but S1 is worth watching I would say.

Star Wars rewatch is like Indiana Jones rewatch it's like a comfy childhood blanket you wrap yourself in on a Sunday afternoon with tea and biscuits.

I'm currently only watching The Following, which, yes, is implausible and requires rather a lot of suspension of disbelief, but I still find it gripping. I've stuck with The Walking Dead, too, although it's been slow and quite boring for the most part of two seasons now. 666 Park Avenue isn't great, quality-wise, but it's something I don't have to think about much, and sometimes I need that.

Yes, I share your views on The Following, I still find it gripping enough not to watch even if it does require a lot of SoD.

Oh, yes me too, I still watch the Walking Dead, but this season has been pretty tedious, I'm a few eps behind.

I watched the first ep of 666 Park Avenue and it didn't impress me enough to continue watching.

Oh, did you hear about that new Brit zombie show on BBC3, In The Flesh? I'm watching the first ep tonight. The trailer was intriguing.

I have heard of In The Flesh but didn't watch it; it's repeated in half an hour so if I'm still awake I might watch it then. If not, no doubt it'll be repeated over summer when I have more time to watch TV. Sounds a bit like John Lindqvist's novel, 'Handling the Undead'.
