To err is human, to spork divine,

I spork, therefore I am open to sporking.

Inspired by other great sporkers here, I believe it's only fair that if I'm going to spork, there should be spork-reciprocity. The first fics I wrote were at the grand old age of 11 and in the X-Files fandom. Since the Gossamer archive will never die, these will remain always to haunt me. Huzzah.

And you get big dirty thanks on the compliment. And I'm going back to make sporking VS story a little clearer :)

But atleast when my end is upon me,
Oh god, my best friend does that. No matter how hard I've tried to beat it out of her over IM.

You wrote those when you were twelve? I've seen worse writing from college students. Mechanically speaking, anyway.

I've always wanted to do a self-sporking but it's SO PAINFUL for me to read my old stuff. And I wrote in semi-obscure fandoms like ReBoot, House on Haunted Hill, and US Marshals (I wish I were kidding).

Haa, I remember ReBoot!
Self-sporking is actually pretty fun. We should have a day for it. x3 And it's nice to see how much you've really improved over the years.

Yup - 11-12 years old. The "I Think and I Dream" story looks to have been posted at Gossamer on my 12th birthday. Obviously I had a lot of plans.

And thanks for the compliment. While it doesn't bode well for the state of our future if my 12-year-old self was kicking college ass, I can't wait til the world slips into the ocean. I bought a new swimsuit.

It is painful to self-spork the old fics(wait til I spork my old Xena stuff * shudder *), but it's cathartic. And ReBoot was a fantastic show. You should definitely trot those out.

But he brought his lips to her forehead, and kissed the only safe part of her he could reach.

The only safe part. Because the rest of her head was a bomb and it would have asploded.

Awesome. I know I have HILARIOUS fics I could spork from my early days, but reading them is too painful because they are just that bad and I don't even want to admit that I wrote them.

Yup - *gigglesnort* is right. I read that and it was the first thing that popped into my head. followed closely by WTF.

Honestly, I'm glad I reclaimed these. In comparison, makes my new stuff seem much less full of suck ;)

That's one of the (many) lines I loved too.
Oh please, please do more of these. And may I please smack you for implying that your new stuff sucks?

You know I'm always open to a good smackin'. And yes, more sporking will be coming shortly. I'm raiding old interweb archives for my stories now. And L, it hurts. It really, really hurts. In my brain parts.

My 12 year old self wouldn't even have the attention span to read this kind of stuff. Needs moar explosions.

Kudos to you for the spork!

I know - I always though the scene in the hospital hall, where Mulder and Scully are having an angsty-passionate embrace, could've used at least one explosion, right? I mean, I wrote it in, but changed my mind at the last moment. *sigh* Regrets.
