Why proofreading an email is so important.

I got this from the leasing office of my apartment complex.

Leasing Carerr Fair!!!

Date:
Thursday, June 7th

Time:
9:30am to 6pm

I sent this reply. "Do you, by any chance, mean career?"
The next day, a corrected email arrived.

I wish I could say this is the first time this has happened. Last year I got one telling residents to "reframe" from doing something.

oh dude. That's horrible.
Sorry this took me so long to reply.
I guess e-mails are exempt from the spell check button. lol.

I'm beginning to think the people sending these emails never heard of proofreading. And if they used Firefox as a web browser, they'd get automatic spell check. Bonus!

I have another one of these from some board minutes documents I was reading at work. Access was spelled Asses. It was hilarious.

Do they, perchance, want you to take a career in care work?

Maybe it's a Car Err Fair, where people bring their erroneous cars.

I wish I could say this was a fluke, but I've received three emails since. Every one had a typo.

Ugh, how annoying. Spellcheck would have caught that, so it's obvious the writer didn't bother to use it.
