See, in Gorillaz cartoon canon, the characters occasionally interact with live-action people, including Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn, their creators. This fic was posted on a real-person slash comm, marked as RPS, and focuses on the real people, yet the Gorillaz cartoon

That's a bit weird. Though the idea of a Roger Rabbit-type thing with Gorillaz is potentially cool...

It's already sort-of canon within the Gorillaz universe, though it seems to vary as to whether the characters know they're cartoons - in Rise of the Ogre, Murdoc shrugged off murder charges on the grounds that "I'm a cartoon, mate, I don't even have fingerprints". But since this was marked as RPS and apparently set in the Real World, it was kind of odd to see the cartoon guys show up.

I think I may have to MST this. Mental image of Murdoc sitting in the Satellite of Love theatre, blinking at the scene where he Hammerspaces, and saying "I didn't know I could do that ..."
