17th illusion ||Rokudo Mukuro|| [in person] (warning for eye-squick)

Nov 22, 2011 15:44

[Mukuro had wandered away from Mikami for a bit when he noticed the eye he took out was starting to dry out and look strange. He figured it just needed water or something, so he looked around for a room with a sink and stumbled upon the kitchen.

After pulling up a chair, he plugged up the sink and plopped his "broken" eye into it before turning on ( Read more... )

[Since when did the pineapple get so small? This may be a good opportunity to mess with his master hmmmmm....]

Ah, you were a pineapple even as a kid.

[Mukuro looked over his shoulder at the stranger... maybe he could fix his eye? Mukuro faced the sink again and pulled the eye out of the water and faced the stranger, holding out the prototype eye. If it wasn't obvious enough who the eye belonged to, his semi-opened eye revealing an empty socket probably brought the point right home]

[So he didn't always have that eye... THAT MEANS NO ILLUSIONARY PINEAPPLES GETTING THROWN AT HI----uhhhh.

Oh wow, that's kinda weird, so Fran's just....staring.]

[He just stared back for a moment, until it was clear this one couldn't help either. He sighed and looked down at the eye, peeling a bit of the gunk off before dropping it back in the water.]

[Leaning against the frame of the kitchen door is a woman in skimpy white clothes and a fur-lined cape. She watches the boy with something like amusement. It's Emma, certainly, but she's younger.]

Having trouble there, dear?

[Mukuro looked up at the woman... she was in all white... but she didn't seem like one of the people in the white coats. Maybe she could help anyway. He reached into the sink and pulled out his eye, handing out to her. Hopefully she could fix it and get his a new eye. The now empty socket was still hurting, and the stitches around his eye were doing no better.]

[Emma stared at the eye in the child's hand. She kept her hands firmly on her hips, unwilling to touch it. His intentions were clear. Most astonishing, though, was how the boy managed the pain. It did not consume him. It was a thing to be dealt with. And what a damaged past he had...]

Well, what would you like me to do?

[He heaved a sigh and turned back around, dropping the eye back into the sink with a plop. She wasn't with the men in the white coats either, she wouldn't help. The men in the white coats would be angry. He didn't want to get punished...]

[Lenalee had only ventured out of her room when hunger made it necessary, making sure to be as quiet as possible and avoiding any adults. She felt near famished by the time she finally found the kitchen, and entered without thinking only to freeze when she noticed the other inhabitant. But he was a kid too, so it should be okay.]

Were you hungry too...?

[He looked at the girl over his shoulder...

Hungry? No, he didn't think so. The men had already come and hooked him up to that needle and bag thing. So he just tilted his head. Was she like the boy he met earlier? One from the outside? He continued to stare at her curiously, as though she was something rare.]

[Lenalee fidgeted uneasily under his gaze. Having people stare made her nervous-- she preferred not to be seen at all. But she forced down the urge to run back to the room she had woken up in, and took a step forward.]

I thought there might be food in here. Is there?

[He just cocked his head to the side questioningly. He... didn't know what 'food' was- but he had heard some explanation to the new arrivals that were taken from outside later than he was.

He plopped his eye back into the sink and hopped down off of the chair he was standing on to interact with the girl. He reached out to take her arm... and then just stared at it... then looked at his own, small, bruised, pale, that had far too many encounters with a needle...

so... she didn't get nutrition from the needle and bag like he did?]

*hi, you look familiar. Akito approaches, seemingly without any care who it was he was moving up behind, and leaned to look in the sink.

Was this another of the manor's...curiosities?

It has been some years since the manor released him back into society, but Akito remembered every second of it (well, every second when his wires weren't busted, but that was a time of the past and eventually it had gotten fixed). He especially remembered the person who showed him what he was doing wrong and taught him a better way.

Was this the same person, only younger, or another of his type? Hair wasn't the best indicator and sometimes humans did look far too similar...*

*yeah, he's just sort of leaning over you, Mukuro, and watching your eye float and ...rot? In the water*

[Mukuro looked up at the new stranger, at this point he had given up on expecting someone to come help fix his eye. This was just another stranger who would come and talk at him like the others.

He just let out a sigh and went back to looking worriedly at his eye]

*nope, no talking. He'll watch with you for a moment or so more before his curiosity gets the best of him*

Is it broken?

[He looked up at the stranger, this was the first person who understood that he was broken... just a little bit.

He nodded and scooped the eye up to him. Maybe he knew how to fix it?]

[Saguru had, somehow, been unaffected by this plot, and going by the chorus of disoriented older and younger than normal people... He had a good bet what'd happened, and headed out to track down and check on certain people - John, Chrome, Mukuro, "Kaito", Shinichi, Tris, Sable, Tsuna... He was going to be busy this week SOMEWHERE, he was sure of it.]

[and, well... At least one of those wasn't too hard to find. He walked in quietly; younger!Mukuro was potentially dangerous depending on when he was from, he knew that much.]

Ah, hello?

[Find out what he was dealing with, first, and an idea how not to set him off - although looking around, the eye in the sink had the six marking but was yellow, not red - not the one he was familiar with, and any other attempts would've had to be previous, making this before the kid had snapped.].

Are you alright?

[Mukuro looked up at Saguru when he was addressed. He didn't think anyone here would know what to do, he obviously wasn't one of the men in the white coats.

But the eye was getting worse... maybe he could do something, so when asked if he was alright, Mukuro simply pulled the eye out of the sink and held it out to him]

[ooooh dear. Mukuro had said something about having never made a sound at this age, hadn't he? And judging by the condition of that eye....well, mineral-laden tap water wouldn't help, he wasn't sure how much could be done in its condition that would still be, er, usable, but...]

You need help with your eye? ... I think there should be some saline downstairs, the sink water won't be good for it... Is there a glass one or something for while it's, ah, being cleaned?

pickldpineapple November 25 2011, 04:43:54 UTC
[Water wasn't good for it? He didn't know what saline was... but... if it kept the crusty stuff off it... he would follow him.

Glass...? Glass what? ...did he want to put glass in his eye? Wh-what would that even DO?

Mukuro just gave the stranger a LOOK like what he just said was the strangest thing in the world...]
