17th illusion ||Rokudo Mukuro|| [in person] (warning for eye-squick)

Nov 22, 2011 15:44

[Mukuro had wandered away from Mikami for a bit when he noticed the eye he took out was starting to dry out and look strange. He figured it just needed water or something, so he looked around for a room with a sink and stumbled upon the kitchen.

After pulling up a chair, he plugged up the sink and plopped his "broken" eye into it before turning on ( Read more... )

[Lenalee had only ventured out of her room when hunger made it necessary, making sure to be as quiet as possible and avoiding any adults. She felt near famished by the time she finally found the kitchen, and entered without thinking only to freeze when she noticed the other inhabitant. But he was a kid too, so it should be okay.]

Were you hungry too...?

[He looked at the girl over his shoulder...

Hungry? No, he didn't think so. The men had already come and hooked him up to that needle and bag thing. So he just tilted his head. Was she like the boy he met earlier? One from the outside? He continued to stare at her curiously, as though she was something rare.]

[Lenalee fidgeted uneasily under his gaze. Having people stare made her nervous-- she preferred not to be seen at all. But she forced down the urge to run back to the room she had woken up in, and took a step forward.]

I thought there might be food in here. Is there?

[He just cocked his head to the side questioningly. He... didn't know what 'food' was- but he had heard some explanation to the new arrivals that were taken from outside later than he was.

He plopped his eye back into the sink and hopped down off of the chair he was standing on to interact with the girl. He reached out to take her arm... and then just stared at it... then looked at his own, small, bruised, pale,that had far too many encounters with a needle...

so... she didn't get nutrition from the needle and bag like he did?]

[Lenalee wondered if the boy was mute. She glanced at his hand when something fell from it and into the sink, but couldn't quite tell what it was. A ball?]

[But then he was moving toward her, and Lenalee instinctually froze. Hesitantly, she let him take her arm. There were a few cuts along it, but nothing compared to his. She stared at the contrast for a few seconds, before looking back up at Mukuro's face. He was far more broken on the outside than she was. That meant that she had to be the grown up.]

Can you... talk?

[He nodded. Of course he could talk. Everything worked right, it was simply a matter of would he talk- which would be a resounding 'no' in most situations.

Why should he? It never accomplished anything. The adults ignored him and the children would just die. If his words had no power then he wasn't going to use them.]
