[The feed clicks on to reveal an appropriately concerned looking Light Yagami appearing to navigate the darkened hallway aided by the white glow of his Blackberry screen, which has been refashioned as a makeshift flashlight; at least until a suitable alternative has been found.
Of course, for the most part the concern is a façade. Light all too

Besides, she wouldn't introduce herself as Amane, anyway. The girl made sure everyone knew her given name, because she kept referring to herself in the third person-- probably out of some misguided conception that it was "cute." So, if the name isn't familiar, then the more appropriate request would be a description of her physical appearance... and as this isn't the request Hiiro is making, Light is quite certain that Hiiro Yui will prove to be a waste of time. He replies if only to be proven right.]
Amane. Misa Amane.

Is this your idea of comfort, Ryuuzaki?
Reply
You're not in need of comfort, Light-kun, it's an observation. I've yet to find live-video of someone leaving.

Then what do I need, Ryuzaki if not comfort by your analysis? [Never mind the fact that Light a) agrees that he doesn't need comfort, and b) wouldn't seek it from L of all people.] Surely, you 're not implying that I should be happy that Misa has gone?
As for the video of someone leaving, I can't say that I've seen one either. People seem to just disappear without a trace.

I see. I just wasn't sure if perhaps she was trapped somewhere in the Manor without her Blackberry. She's... ah, she has blonde hair, usually worn up in bunches, a little shorter than you, and wears what we call 'gothic lolita' style of dress. If you see her, please let me know.

I appreciate it. Be careful around the Manor, Vessalius. Whatever plot the Author has going can't possibly stay this benign forever. I don't want to hear about any more missing people.

I'm sorry. [The condolences are for the public naturally. Mikami knows the truth about that relationship after all]

Yes, I believe so. I can't seem to find her anywhere.
[Not that he had been able to search very well considering the lighting situation at the Manor. A drawn out sigh, equally false in sentiment.]
For the best, I should think.
[Which... it is and it isn't. One less liability that's for certain. Light has no idea what Near, L, or even B might have tried with regards to Misa. Of course he would have preferred for himself to go home over Misa, but predictably, the Author isn't so compliant.]
Thank you for your concern, Mikami-san.

[Simply keeping up a polite conversation. They were supposed to be on a friendly, but not too close, basis after all. If Mikami is truthful with himself though (which he isn't), very deep down he needs to talk to Light some more. To remind himself what he is fighting for. Teru hasn't been dealing well with this and the previous event. In his case 'not dealing well' meant that he was the same as always just a bit more... robotic. Burying everything deeper, deeper and deeper. Not a healthy method of coping with tension, but he'd never do anything else]
How have you been?

[He sighs, it was a shame, and a blessing. She was nice to him even though he had fucked up so bad during body-swap week]
It's probably for the better I guess... Nothing bad will probably happen to her back home. I should... take out the trap system in her room...

[Light's tone is tired. He's relieved that Misa is gone, but at the same time, it's frustrating. How the hell is Misa managing to escape? It strikes him as incredibly biased. Is it for good behavior? For being female? He wants there to be a pattern to this, because then it wouldn't be complete nonsense, but at the same time, it's the Author; Stupid, arbitrary teenage girl. There's no reason for her actions, she just acts. Light wants nothing more than to watch her convulse on the floor in the throes of a fatal myocardial infarction.]
...You're right about her being safer at home though. B can't get to her there. [A sigh.]
I suppose I never mentioned that I did appreciate what you did.
[He's still not quite saying that he does.]

[Wait, did he just THANK him!? Hayato was used to a lot of things but gratitude was never one of them... Hayato just remains looking shocked for a moment before he tries to enforce the use of words again]
I... um... well.. it's just...

It's nothing... It was my own fault anyway...
