Apr 17, 2011 19:31

[Since arriving in space, Leonardo hadn't known what to do with himself - there was so much to study! So many sketches to make, so much information to learn! Taking a brief break from his studies and investigations, the polymath entered the kitchen to make himself something to eat-

Only to come across much more than he expected.]

Cake?

[Malone seems to be hanging by his knees from the stair railing]

Is it delicious and moist? [he gets a sour, disapproving look like he's been fooled too many times before] ...it's not a lie, is it?

[Hello upside down man!]

I believe so - it certainly looks good!

[Oblivious to the picture on the front of the cake, Leonardo has already taken numerous photo's of it on his blackberry]

..How can a cake be a lie?

[Malone looks like he's just lost his grip and fallen, but he lands lightly in a crouch on the floor]

I've had baked goods promised before, and been denied. If I get there and find that the cake is a lie, I'm going to shake my fist very sternly at you. [he giggles like he's just told a hilarious joke]

[For a second, Leo's thought that the masked man had fallen. But when he turns out to be alright, he relaxes]

Well, I can assure you this is all real - look, see?

[Holding up a cupcake, to the camera]

Never been one to turn down free cake, Pardner. Where'd you manage to rustle it up?

[Leonardo doesn't recognise the man in the message, not that he minds at all - he loves meeting new people]

Oh, I didn't do anything! I believe this is the Authors doing~

Please, feel free to join me - there's plenty to go around ( ^-^ )

Wine, cake, and good company.

[her worries and nerves forgotten, she smiles at him]

My three favourite things in life. Thank you.

And happy birthday, darling.

[He smiles and takes her hand, kissing the back of it lightly]

It is my pleasure, la mia donna - I'm so glad to get to enjoy your company as well

[Like the charming child that he is, Leonardo's smile quickly broadens into a grin as he looks around at the decorations]

Grazie~! To tell you the truth, I'd actually completely lost track of time! So this is truly a pleasant surprise

Signor da Vinci. Happy Birthday.

[Interesting that the Author celebrates birthdays. He'll have to make note of that in his list of "Things the Author Does and Doesn't in Terms of Interfering with the Residents' Lives." Yes, it's a long title. No, he does not intend to shorten it.]

Would you mind bringing some cake to my room? [And for extra incentive.] I have something interesting to show you.

No worries - I figured anyways! XD ♥ keep_ur_finger April 18 2011, 14:02:48 UTC
[Leonardo picks up his blackberry, practically beaming at the message (he's like a high monkey in a candy store right now, he feels very flattered that the Author remembered his 25th~)]

Grazie, amico~!

Of course I will - though now I'm curious to see what it is you have to show me!

[*~Location Skip 2000!~*]

[At the same door he was requested to visit when Near first arrived, Leonardo knocks happily, a piece of cake on a plate in hand. Feel flattered, Near - you're getting the Mona Lisa's left shoulder!]

[There is a flurry of thumping noises against the wall and door before a single "click" is heard as the door unlocks. This is followed by more thump-thump-thumps and a few crashes. It seems like whoever is trying to open the door was having a hard time navigating. Finally the door opens, revealing the one responsible to be a machine very similar to one of the cleaning robots on the ship. Although it was done awkwardly and noisily, the robot did manage to finally get the door open.

It goes around in two small circles first before finally making its way back to Near, who shuts off the annoying device.]

Hmm, still needs work.

Oh! I love birthday parties! Pretty cupcakes and wow...is that the Mona Lisa!?

[You bet he's looking. Anything with sugar he'll go for as long as it's not green and blue cakes with gold has his attention.]

[Leonardo turns and grins like a school boy when he see's Megamind]

As do I~! I had completely forgotten about it, so I'm glad the Author did at least!

[He blinks, and looks around]

The 'Mona Lisa'? What is that~?

[Points to the cake.]

That one. It's one of my favorites!

[Although back home, he put a big blue mustache and goatee on it because he knew the painting was a forgery and marked it as such just to spite the curators for their egregious mistake as passing it off as the real deal.]

Oh - the Mona Lisa is a type of cake?

[That sounds mighty fine to him 8Dd]

Well, it certainly looks good, no~? Would you like some? I've put off cutting it up, but I suppose it would be a waste not to enjoy it
