[The feed clicks on to reveal Light Yagami in his room, staring in disbelief in the mirror at his now significantly younger self. His eyes continually flick back and forth between his reflection and his much smaller hands; his glare-- one that is extremely out of place on his eight year old face-- is piercing enough that it seems he could ( Read more... )

I don't think it's really the agency that she's messing with but it's how we make the most of it that matters. She's just making sure she's having fun for herself. If we didn't have agency this wouldn't be fun.

Personally, I think it's interesting. I can do things like this that I couldn't as an adult. The upside, my body isn't craving getting fucked every day. You know how annoying masturbation gets?

[Sheldon's tossing a knife at a table and picks it up repeatedly, leaving gouges on the table top.]

[Light sighs, looking quite possibly like the world's most serious child. Even as an adult, sexual tension wasn't something he'd ever given thought to in light of more pressing matters, namely establishing his rule over the entire human populace, and he certainly wasn't going to start now.]

Enjoy the reprieve, Sands. I personally liked being my age. But think about it. Reverting us back to children not once, but twice? Could be interpreted as symbolism. She might have started going to writing class and decided to incorporate some actual literary technique in her writing. Then again, I'll admit I may be looking for more reasons to hate the stupid girl. I won't lie about that.

Yeah, I didn't have the chance the first time. I missed that one.

[He snaps his fingers.]

Darn. Anyway, you may be on to something there but I don't see any immediate results, if I was a moron. Or another side of the coin, she could be figuring out our backgrounds. How glaringly obvious is by turning us into kids. Can't hide culture there, right?

Consider yourself fortunate. We didn't even have the benefit of keeping our mental age back then. [Light is still peeved at how much of a fool he had made out of himself.]

Whatever her latest plan is, I'm certain it spells out nothing pleasant which is why, we ought to do something to get her attention. Force her to communicate with more of us. That's what went wrong last time, I think. L never did plan as far ahead as... well, I do.

[Well Gokudera caught that first feed, and being nearby when the seond came on, he just COULDN'T RESIST giving justice boy a hard time. So he headed over to the parlor and leans cooly in the doorframe, having gotten his own... erm 'tantrum' out of his system]

Oh would you look at that, bowlhead hasn't changed his hair since he was a snot nosed little runt. Tch, who would have ever guessed.

[Light isn't even giving Gokudera the benefit of being looked at. He drums his fingers against the armrest of the chair.]

Look at who showed up in the Manor after all. If you wanted to be my boyfriend so badly, all you had to do was ask. No need to stalk me all the way from Italy.

[Oh that sunnuva bitch...]

Sorry I don't date girls like you.

[Well this guy totally had this coming. Gokudera slips out one of his sticks of dynamite, spitting on the midpoint of the fuse to wet it so it wouldn't actually go off. Then he holds the dry end up to his cigarette, lighting it and tosses it over to the bowlhead's lap]

Hey Shirley I got something to fix your hair.

[Shirley?! Instinctively Light turns his head to catch a quick glimpse of Gokudera lighting the fuse- and suddenly the name Shirley isn't so important anymore. Shitshitshit-!! He clambers out of the chair with little grace, limbs askew, hair askew, as he leaps away from the stick of dynamite. It occurs to him after he's scampered off the back of the seat, and fallen onto his rear that the kid probably isn't stupid enough to blow up the room with himself in such close range. That level of stupidity was only reserved for Mello. Wincing, he stands up and calmly returns to his seat.]

Funny. Stupid brats aren't my type either, so I'd say the feeling is mutual: I don't date girls like you.

[Oh guess who was just wandering by only to stop suddenly and LAUGH at you in that high pitched little gremlin voice]

And here I was thinking you couldn't get any tinier.

[Light eyes Piccolo through the corner of his eye, taking in all of his less than impressive height. He laughs as well, though for markedly different reasons.]

Are you really one to be talking about being tiny?

I could still send you reeling into a wall with one hand, runt.

[What he lacks in height he MORE then makes up for it in his girth]

[Light gives Piccolo a brief sidelong glance looking distinctly unimpressed.]

I'm noticing that you're much more talkative in the absence of rice cookers.

[Even though he's chibified like anyone else, the normal attitude is definitely undaunted.]

Well, well, looks like we might be on the same page.

Did you have anything specific in mind? [He's going to put out his call for a meeting either way, but...]

A gathering, I should think. ...And a means of contacting the Author. Do you have any idea how to contact her directly?

That's what I've been thinking ... this seems like the first week we might have a chance at that and have it possibly happen. At least keep open-forum on the network.

....

All that I know of contacting the Author involves the rabbit.

[His eyes narrow at the mention of the Plot Bunny. It may have been a while ago, but Light had not forgotten what a nightmare that fiasco had turned out to be. If he couldn't be sent home, seeing the lagomorph stuffed and set in his room as a handsome decorative piece would be a close second on his wish list.]

... I see. We'll need a guaranteed method of catching her attention. How did L manage it?

I was a little caught off guard earlier if that's what you're referring to, but otherwise, I'm fine thanks. [No need for your goddamn patronizing here Kudo.]

This week must be pleasant for you at least.

Tch. Hardly-though being taller than Kuroba for once does help.

Even if it's only temporary it's still a pain. If it's like my situation you didn't just shrink- you're stuck in the body of a child, which means you need more sleep than normal, you can't run as far without losing breath and you're no where near as strong as you once were. It's a lot to get used too.

[Private] finalarbiter February 27 2011, 08:27:49 UTC
I won't lie, I do miss being tall.

[Normally being 5'10, Light had forgotten how annoying it was being short again. He was beginning to appreciate Conan's predicament.]

How'd you transition?
